Last week, our evening class took to the streets of Bonn’s Weststadt again. We sat for an hour or so drawing a gorgeous magnolia tree in full bloom and then moved down the road to a small park (known as the Baumschulwäldchen) where we drew until dusk. It was a glorious warm and light-filled spring evening – the next day it would pour with rain for the duration but we didn’t know this as we drew. A lovely way to spend an evening in late April. Here are the evening’s drawings. the magnolia was drawn with a mid-vermilion Inktense pencil and wash. The park drawing was made with a Rotring Tiki Graphic 0.2mm.
